Default What mods are needed to go from a FAST 92 to a 102?

I already have a FAST 92/92 combo with billet fuel rails on my motor but am thinking about taking up a deal on a 102 combo now that my motor is completely apart again. What would I need to modify to install the 102 intake onto my setup (LQ4 6.0 block)? I would keep these billet fuel rails for the 102 as well.

I heard something about some spacers needed for the fuel rails to fit because of different spacing? Also heard about the water pump needing relocation or somethin.

Can someone clear this up for me? I already tried researching but came up with nothing.

Because the intake is taller the injectors dont reach their holes. Fast has a fuel rail for it, or I think you can use an injector spacer perhaps. On f-bodies it will hit the waterpump so you grind it some and it should clear. Then I think you have to extend the MAP harness up to the front. You will make more power with the 102 but it may not be worth the effort. I just bought a 92 and said the hell with all that BS.

So I've spent hours researching and decided to simply keep my FAST 92 combo. That extra 10-15 hp from the 102 will just have to come from money spent on a nitrous kit better yet! the hell with that!

I went to a 102 and it wasn't that bad. My current LS1 injectors and my fuel rails worked fine. I bought the brackets from FAST for their fuel rails even though I had aeromotive rails and only had to drill and thread one hole in each rail for them to work.

Consider having you FAST 92 intake ported.

That's what I'd do as well. There's a lot of hassle involved with the 102. Needing new injectors, or the couplers to run LS1 injectors, new water pump (or grinding) your fuel rails probably won't work... Porting your 92 is going to be best "bang for the buck" at this point.

Installing a fast 102 is really not a hassle at all. As long as you know what your doing, and you have all the required parts. Now if money is a issue, then yes stick with your 92

That's more or less what I was getting at. With everything else he'd need, it's definitely more cost effective to port.

If you port a 92 fast, does that require a retune?
