Default ignition and starter on fox body

Have a 91 foxbody mustang and was wondering what starter could i use either the stock mustang starter or a chevy taho starter? and second question how did you all go about the electrical wiring and starter to alternator wiring?
Thanks in advance

what motor is going in the car...

if its a GM Motor, you need a GM Starter for that motor. its all about how it bolts up and how the teeth align with the flywheel

starter and alternator are like any car...
alternator to the battery
starter to the battery thru a fuse and solenoid activation goes thru the Column wiring.

you need a GM starter..
if you use a flexplate/flywheel from a Chevy Tahoe, you should get a starter for one as well

you cannot use a mustang starter on your GM engine...it wont bolt up, and it likely wouldnt line up...

what else are you confused about?

If you even have to ask if you can use a ford starter on a Chevrolet motor you're going to need help with a great deal more than just the starter wires.

Now believe it or not I did get to use the mustang starter wires and solenoid on my suburban starter

I am a nub at electrical hence why I ask questions so probably just going to get the GM starter and alternator and get it done at a shop.

Have a Psi wiring harness. So from I've been reading I splice into the mustang ignition wire either a brown or yellow then run it to the chevy starter?
