So I'm messing around trying to get the idle below 1,000 rpm's using this Haynes/Chilton manual. I'm reading everything its throwing at me when I get to this note that reads:

Note: On 2000 and later models the throttle control system is electronic. There is no mechanical cable, but rather a throttle position sensor at the pedal and electronic motor at the throttle body.

Checking VIN's and all that technical data and I sure enough have a 2002 Trans Am WS6 with an LS1 w/T56 ... So why I have a throttle cable? Or is this manual confused? Any help would be great

There was never DBW on any Fbody's.

All LS1 Camaros and Firebirds had cable actuated throttle bodies. The book you have is incorrect.

Chitlins manureals have always sucked. Buy the Helm
set if you plan on keeping the car, you will not regret
the real thing.

i believev it was a chiltins manual i bought that had 3 separate diagrams for XJ serpentine belt configurations for my 96 cherokee and none of them were what my 96 cherokee had.

those manuals SUCK!
