Default Removing Firebird emblem where license plate goes

I recently bought a Trans Am in Pensylvania where the cars don't need a front license plate, so it has this Firebird emblem where the plate would go. I live in New York so I need a front plate, and I can't figure out how to get it off. I'm wondering if anyone with a Trans Am/Firebird knows how to take it off. I'm thinking that i'm going to have to take whole plastic covering thats under the car in order to get to it, but I was just wondering if anyone knows for certain how to do it.

There are two torx screws on the bottom that need to be removed. Then pull the bottom out slightly so the top taps slide out. Then you're done!

Casper is right, you will have to get down pretty low and look up at a slight angle to see them. Also if you dont have a torx and need to get it off quick a flathead screwdriver will work pretty well.

just leave the bird there and put your plate down on the air dam under the car, it looks so much better with that bird intack
