Default Best air intake for non-ws6 Trans Am

I've looked for a while and I've seen some expensive options, and I've seen some really ugly ideas, but here's the question I have.

What is the best end-all intake set up for a 400Hp and under NON WS6 car? I'm running a speed density tune so a MAF is not a concern. Would a lid on the stock bottom piece with a bellow to the throttle body be the best bet? Cutting out the bumps on the front of the hood?

speed density tune... then i would just port the TB and run a straight smooth tube to the TB take the top air lid off and use a C5 flat cone air filter (blackwing type setup)
