Head porting gains on turbo?
I'm building a 408 and I'm planning on buying a set of heads from tsp for it, but I do already have a set of reworked 317's. Their not ported, but have fresh 650 springs and bigger valves. On forced induction do you guys think it's really worth it to spend close to two grand on a new set of heads?

I make 700+ whp with a 5.3 through a TH400. It has stock 862 heads. It's on 17-18psi. Would it pick up from porting the heads? I'm sure. But I'm not willing to pay to find out how much I could pick up.

Use the 2 grand on getting the best turbo you can for your build and a really good intercooler...
You will see a lot more bang for your buck...

Thanks guys thats what I was kinda thinking. I originally had the heads redone to put on my stock ls1 to lower the compression but found a great deal on a lq4 so plans have changed. I'm guessing spending all the money on a set of heads will probably only equal 1 or 2 lbs of boost. I guess I can take that money and get a meth kit and do a lot better.
