Default Ls1 Camaro with minor bolt ons vs full bolt on ls2 gto/heads and cam ls1 gto

Fast forward to 2:00

The first race against the ls2 it hit the limiter in drive(yes i am having trans built in 2 weeks), the 2nd race it was dead even and i inched away at the very last second.

The first race against the heads/cam ls1 he floored it a split second before me, thats why he jumped out a car. The 2nd race we both floor it at the same time.

Close races for both! Felt like the races were way longer then they are on video!

Damn..are you sure you do not have a little more going on with your car? It seems to run hard for your mods. Running next to a h/c LS1 GTO is damn impressive!

I don't see a high 12s car beating cars that should run low 12s or high 11s.Both of those GTO's should trap 4-5 mph higher than you.

The race against the LS2 was very believable, but that HCI goat was slow. Either way, nice job!

If you read his sig obviously he had issues running a 12.7 appearing that he can run lower times. Doesn't take a genius to put that together george

The red gto did 12.2, I'm hoping for 11.9-12.1 when i get the stall in and suspension dialed in. Don't have headers, y pipe, or a catback.

Then I'll just put everything else on all at once here soon.

I would trade a ls1 Fbody anytime of the day for a ls2 GTO. Much better DD and is easy to get in and out of lol. Plus being better built is nice to.

When I'm an old man I'll buy a gto when I don't care about going fast.

P.s. The owner of the 6.0 is on svtp. That's actually his old car he sold to his dad, and has it for a week.

He is in the process of putting a TVS 2300 on his cobra.

When the 5.0's drop into high teens I'll get one, probably auto though. I have only heard bad things about the MT82.

Maybe.

I never had any problems with a Fbody with my GTO The 6spd in the 5.0 isn't that bad with a few mods.

I just raced a 345 whp full exhaust, 3.73, dyno tuned 2002 camaro ss auto.

All I can say is the SSRA mod is really worth it. Lol.

So you are intending to drop a full second by adding a stall with some suspension? That might be asking a lot.
Without increasing your power level and trap speed, you would have to really drop your 60' a good amount to cut that much ET.
Good luck, man. Keep us up to date.

You have to realize i had no tune, and my engine was cutting out with flashing check engine light and it was bucking crossing the traps.

That time was also on original 140k mile plugs and wires(dont even ask about the gap) and on the stock snowflake all seasons.

I raced my friends 408 dakota that did 12.0 @ 111 mph and got him by half a car tonight....

Going to have my ls6 ported, stall and built trans, maybe udp pulley next. Then suspension and weight reduction. I will do heads/cam later, there's no rush. I like to see what she has first. Would be nice to run 11's on stock manifolds, y pipe, catback! My friend did 11.8 with full exhaust and it's a 6 speed with 4.30s.

I have prostars skinnies and et streets on rear, havent ran at the track with them now.

I'm looking for a 1.5-1.6 60 foot. The 1.9 was on stock stall on 245 all season tires lmao.
