Fr8train has put down 1142 HP to the rear wheels with a stock LS1 intake and stock throttle body with a 408 cid stroker. IMO don't waste your $$ on those parts since you are shoving it in the cylinders anyways.
For the life of me this is the only video I can find of it.

boost is just a measure of restriction...
you can make more power, on less boost with a less restrictive intake
any single plane will make great power with forced induction
Sheet metal intakes are king, followed closely by stuff like the Holley Hi-Ram
also, in general, better with a Carb style throttle body when possible, and bigger is better

Understood.
I was just providing an example of how much power can be made with a stock intake and throttle body.
I would be satisfied with the 1142 and running low 8's in a full bodied and stock looking interior and driving it anywhere in the USA without a trailer.
Whatever floats your boat.

I dont know what the part in red has to do with the intake...
lots of guys throw on a single plane vic jr with a low profile elbow and it looks stock from the curbside...and they drive it all over...
also, I have driven some pretty radical setups as a daily driver...and put more miles on it than some people do in their unmodified daily car.

I made 805 with an LS1 and a 78mm truck TB. It would have gone 900, but I was having voltage issues above 6200 that were basically putting an end to the power right there. I am swapping an LS6 on and will see if that makes a difference. I did this on 15.8 psi average boost and under 13* of timing through an unlocked 4L80E.

even on a Naturally aspirated Motor, the only difference is that it carries out to a higher rpm...the curve follows almost exactly the same otherwise.

once you get down to the #'s, a FAST 92 does better
the proflow does marginally better in the upper rpms than an 85mm stock style intake(like that metal typhoon intake)...it doent usually pull past 6200/6400 rpm's....
I have seen a back to back with the Stock/proflow/fast 92.....the fast 92 out performed the proflow.

I've been halfway considering selling my Victor Jr, Accufab 4150, Extreme Velocity setup in favor of a Holley Hi-Ram. I guess it would mainly depend how much difference in cash I would have to come up with. I did some quick internet pricing and new cost is equal for a Hi-Ram + 102mm TB vs Victor Jr + 4150 Accufab + EV Pro hat (roughly $1080 for both setups).
I'll probably stick with what I already have - unless someone really wants it:

I'm going with Super Victor 4150, Wilson Elbow, and Wilson LSX TB for my intake portion, I know those parts are pretty pricey but I'm in no rush to finish the build if it means spending more money on high quality parts.
