Default LS7 clutch require stepped flywheel?

I broke the center part of the disk of my clutch when the rear axle blew up.
The guy that had my '98 LS1/T56 before me told me it was an LS7 clutch he put in before I got it.
Thinking I was saving myself some hassle I thought I would just get the same for a replacement, so I ordered a LS7 clutch kit off the web.
From what I can tell, the new LS7 clutch I got requires a non flat flywheel with a step down for the disk, and has 3 locating pins.
Is this correct?

I think that the clutch I broke is probably a LS6 clutch. The disk measures about 11.4 across and the flywheel is flat and has 2 locating pins.

Is there a place I can order just a new disk that will allow me to just re use the pressure plate?

Motor is stock, and I don't want to mess with the hydraulic stuff. Just want to get this back on the road.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed.

What did your kit come with?

I believe the LS2 uses the same style flywheel. I have also read that LS7 is the replacement for LS2 kits now. You may want to order a flywheel for a 06 GTO to go with your kit.

Default

It came with just the Pressure plate and disk.
I found a kit online that includes the same flywheel, PP, and disk that I took out, but my flywheel is in good shape and I already had it surfaced too.
Thanks nascarnate.
