Default Has anyone here done the LS swap into a C3 Corvette?

Im specifically looking at the 68-69 model years. Are there any "gotchyas" specific to the Corvette? Im down to just wiring on my C10 suburban swap, so Im relatively familiar with the process. I plan on running a Tremec 5 spd in the vette vice the 4L60E in the truck, but outside of that, Im planning on a very similar swap.

Thanks

garys 68 is the man you need. He is a straight shooter. I have a 74. I don't think there are two C3 swaps that are the same because of starting equipment and swap equipment. You will need a straight thermostat outlet and the heater hose fittings will have to be changed. These both can be done a number of ways.

Hey, thought I heard my name.
What year vette, current engine, trans, AC or non, PS?
What year, model LS?
I wasn't into build threads too much at the time, but here are a couple threads:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...eed-build.html
http://www.vettemod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2731
And you'll need this to bolt up the TKO:

I did a LS Swap last year in my 78 vette with a lot of help from Garys 68.
Installed a 6.0 LQ9 in my 78 vette. Bored .30 over, with 590 lift cam. LS6 Intake, cable Throttle Body, 42 lb injectors, 255 lph fuel pump in tank, C5 filter regulator 58 psi. 2004R transmission with Bowtie TV cable and LS Kit, B&M quicksilver shifter, Holley Accessory brackets for A/C, PS and Alt brackets. Holley EFI and Cables, Vintage Air, Fiero Seats by Mr. Mikes, Jeep Steering Box conversion. Aluminum Radiator with Z28 dual electric fans, Replaced all 8 body mounts. New Shocks, new front end bushings, upper and lower ball joints. Stock 308 rear gears, Dakota Digital Gauges.
