Default Got my dyno numbers

Well, got my car from Speed Inc. today. NOT GOOD!
They called me up and said it wasn't making power, so they put in a new cam thinking it was a bad grind. New cam, same numbers. They said everything checked out ok but just not good numbers. They seemed cooperative and i feel they did a good job.

Hers the results:
320.4 RWHP & 344.5 RWTQ

They said the exhaust is not helping and I could use a ported TB. But I will be putting on true duals first. The RASP is terrible at 2200RPM

Those #'s are defiently low, what was the AFR on the dyno, and knock..

Most average bolt on cars make that kind of power...

Get rid of the flowmaster

I put in dual cutouts in my y-pipe even though all I have is a flowmaster no cats or anything I gained 32rwhp and 42rwtq when I opened the cut outs.

Granted I have a larger motor that likes to breathe but that is just outrageous loss from just a damn muffler.

In order to embed the image into a post, it must already be publicly available somewhere else on the internet. Once you do that, you put in the whole link to the image in between and . Replace the < and > with [ and ] for it to actually work correctly.

If you don't have webspace, you can register at a free picture hosting place like Webshots, or Imagestation and just post a link to the picture. These services do not allow you to embed images though.

Your torque numbers are 10 lower than mine but the hp is like 40 down from mine same cam.im running hooker lt ,no cats through the stock muffler-360hp. are you runnig cats with that exhaust? just cant figure why your hp is so low!where did it peak at, like 6200-6300. just trying too help you out, those headders should flow real close to what i have, but with cats maybe 10-15 lower.

so peak hp is at what, 5200-5600 rpm? that is really low for a cam. anybody got thoughts on this? isn't the cam he chose, basically a TR224? would any advance or retard ground into the cam without installers knowledge affect the dyno like this?

i read in the cam paperwork that comp put in 4 degrees advance on some of their cams(ground in )

Person(pretty good mechanic from my experiences w/ him) said by looking at dyno it screams timing off. They said they degreed the cam.

Yoosof (YOOFORMULA) hadthe cam in a little off in his car, so his hotcam/mac header combo only put out 325rwhp and we wll couldn't figure it out. so, he tore his apart and ended up finding out he had put it in advanced. he didn't have any tuning either. anyways, fixed that and car picked up. but if they redid the install, and with as many cars as they have installed cams in, it's hard to think that they did something wrong, unless it was wrong from the manufacturer.

Your probably right. Maybe i should try to retard somehow a little to see if it picks up.
Anyone have any suggestions other than degreeing the cam

Looks exactly like a cam timing problem or you are getting serious knock in the high rpm.

The cam is peaking WAY too early. Something is definately not right with that setup.

What's confusing to me is the peaks and
you make 24 more rwtq then hp.
Usually with that cam, torque is lower than Hp.

That looks like my stock internal dyno graph,
only lower and more jagged.

Very confusing.

Checked all the wires, 7 plugs(that i could get at), changed the fuel filter. Still no go. I will try stock MAF too.

Drove hard a couple times today and no guts. Seem pretty close to what it was before. Something has to be up.

Want to check degree on cam. 5 or more people have told me that my dyno screams a timing problem. Can someone tell me how to do this.
