Default Hello from Austin

Hello Everyone,

My name is Justin, I'm an 8 year army vet, located in Austin, TX and the owner of a black 06 GTO with the 6.0L LS2. Originally from Virginia, my family drag races pretty successfully back home and I turn 26 in a few days. I'm clueless about the performance side of cars, having transitioned from a pretty good track rider on sports bikes.

I know the basic things about cars, but not as far as the modding and stuff things of that nature. We all had to start somewhere.

Now to the bad news, I'm already in need of help and will be making a separate thread very shortly. Got the car out of storage on monday and this started on tuesday. I'm inclined to think it's a spun rod bearing and failed oil pump. For now this is what's on my hands and the mods already done:

228 CAM
LS7 lifters
600 liftspring
HP oil pump

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to building relationships here. What I do with the car is where I need your help.

Welcome! I actually just moved to California from Austin, but I still have a lot of great car contacts in Austin if you need any help.
