Default Fuel Tank options

I'm doing a 408 turbo set up in my 2001 T/A and I was curious what's my best options for fuel pumps and dilivery? My initial plan was to run a Walbro 480 in tank with -8 feed and -6 return. However I started looking into the 98' f-body sump option. Buy a 98' tank sump it and run a Magnafuel 750. The Magnafuel would alleviate the need for dual pumps and a Hobbs switch and everything else down the road. What's a better option in your guy's opinion.

I ran dual fuel pumps in a plastic tank. Keep in mind this is coming from previously having a metal tank and a metal tank with a sump.

So do you like that set up better then having a sumped tank? I know corning would be an issue with a sumped tank especially if its low on gas.

Dual pumps in the tank. Quiet, stealthy, no fuel loss on cornering, no need for inline filter.

I tried the sump thing in my f injected 69 chevelle. below half a tank it would chuggle and die when stabbing the brakes and cornering. PITA.
Had a custom tank built with 2 outlets and haven't looked back.

I had a nasty performance sumped tank with an external a1000 pump. It was stupid loud, overheat, etc. I did dual in tank pumps and love it.

That looks like a great kit. Have you used one before? looks like you can make some serious power with that. Also do you know if both the pumps run all the time or if you need a hobb's switch to activate the second pump?

Which pumps do you have? And what kind of power are you making if you don't mind me asking?

Dual walbro 255's in stock bucket. Not been to the dyno, but guess 8-900 on current setup. I want to switch to e85 and afraid I will run out of pump. So my plan is to do dual 450's.

Cam72aro any way I could get pictures of how you do the 450's in the stock bucket? Those have the bigger base don't they?

I'm running the 465 they are the same size just the e 85 version. They will fit but it's a pretty tight squeeze. Have not tried them out yet hope to have the car running in a month or so.

I'll go against the grain

I have a nasty aluminum sumped tank. I originally had an A1000 on it, but removed it and put a Magnafuel 750 there instead, much quieter to my ears. I drive the car a lot, actually just put snow tires on it, but I don't make it a habbit to turn quickly with it or let it run low on fuel, but I have not had a problem with it yet. Not saying there's anything wrong with in-tank stuff, but I have had good luck myself.

Yea I hear you there the A1000's are load. I just wanna make sure I have enough pump for my set up. And they don't make a drop in A1000 or something like that. They do foe the vette's but not the f-bodys which I'm sure would be a big hit if they did.

Gonna do the 450's in a few weeks. I can snap some. Allout06 did them also, iirc. The Nasty tank is small is another reason I ditched it. It was around 10 gallons.
