Default 6.2 ls3 with s480

I have a aluminum 6.2 ls3 with 317 heads I'm going with 96mm 1.32 ar s480 custom cam any body ever don't a 6.2 yet and what can the stock rod and piston can take ?

I would say 700rwhp wouldn't be a problem, Vette guys do that quite a bit.

I think an LS3 is pretty close to the perfect size for an S480.

The pistons and rods are just as strong as a lq4/9. The block is a little weak but should hold about same as the rotating assembly. 800 should be no problem. One thing I have found with the 6.2's is the rings are really tight gap from the factory might want to look into that if it's a low mile engine.

It is low miles what should I gap the top ring to?

Most 100K mile 5.3~6.0's are ~.022'' +. The 30K mile L92 I just tore down was .015''. I would want at least .022'' if I was going to boost it hard.

I see that's the 6.2 is 10.7.1 with 70 cc heads that's kinda high isn't it?
