I'm installing my 243 soon and wonder what gaskets you guys using ? I can get Fel Pro local here

Also anyone have the parts # for ARP head studs for 243 heads on 2005 Caddy escalade motor

From what I understand the OEM GM MLS gaskets are the way to go unless you are trying to reduce quench / add compression via a thinner gasket.

Not to hijack your thread but as an addendum; is it common to coat LS head gaskets with copper spray, like we used to do on the old SBC?

Use LS9 gaskets.. and from what I understand DO NOT spray them with copper cote..

I'm running fel-pro MLS gaskets from Rock Auto. No troubles thus far.

I end up with a set of GM LS3 gasket . Now am looking for a some head studs.

Im running Felpro MLS with 12lbs of boost on them with stock head bolts.. Im happy so far

Are you running intercooler with 12lb of boost or ethanol ?

Just order some Thompson motorsports LS7 lifter and their head studs . Can't wait to put the motor together
