Should I get my heads milled?
I'm in the process of rebuilding the engine and have the heads at the machine shop right now for larger valve seats (1.575/2.020), etc... after doing some relatively extensive hand porting and polishing. We looked at many of the posted pics (MTIs pics specially) and worked from there. We don't have flow numbers yet but hope to get them afterwards.
So My car has all of the bolt-ons, SLP longtubes, LS6 intake, newly ported/polished heads w/bigger valves, TR224 (I'd like bigger) cam w/Isky 295 springs and Ti retainers, etc...
Is it a good idea and/or worth it to get my heads milled right away. If so how much should they be milled? and what/how much (more) can/might I gain from it?
Please inform the "weak of mind"

IMO, the only reason not to mill them is if A)you can't find good fuel in your area, or B)you want to run a big cam that won't clear with milled heads and stock pistons. I'd say it'd be worth a good 10hp peak and will still have gains across the board.

you really need to cc your heads to see where you are now. unless you didnt touch the chambers? other wise cc them the look at the sticky in internal section about cc and CR.
that will show you what you need to do to get whatever CR you want
