We have seen good results at .035 on the iridium plugs. You might be fine going to .040 being NA but the boosted engines tend to start blowing the flame out over 5000rpms

Are they stock coils, does it make a difference if others are used or sourced from different vehicles?

I am using stock coils. I was told .055 is the magic number for NA is this incorrect?

9:1 Compression? Why so low NA?

I'd get NGK Iridium TR55-IX and run them at the stock gap (.055" which is what GM now recommend). Or Denso Iridium IT20s.

Not point in running a tighter than stock plug gap on that motor until you boost it or add some juice.

I had to run it low because it's meant for a blower.

To get the car running motor in etc it had to be na. As the car has to go to RPM for the blower two states away.
