The video said it was a black man. No passenger.

Maybe if people camping in the fast lane like 90000000 year old grandmothers would get the **** out of the way, the driver may not have had to swerve around like an *******. Either way fellas don't out drive your skill or your car.

Definitely a V2. The badges are on the door not the fender and there's a vent on the fender. Also notice the strut bar and the engine cover is black and the calipers are yellow.

The wreck happen at 12:15 am. How much traffic is on the road at that time?
The driver was being a jerk and wrecked.

I think that report was wrong. The interview video with the officer on scene said he was stuck in the vehicle. Anyways, too bad with the impact from the power line pole right across the top of vehicle.

I've seen some bad wrecks vs telephone poles where they break them....but I can say without a doubt ive never seen one literally break it off especially that high off the ground.

Lets remember this guy had a family and keep the comments a little more classy though.

True. When his daughters grow up and start googling their dad to find out more about him don't be slinging mud around here based on one report of driving. Very sad story. The truth is like we've seen on the viral video of that V trying to 'drift' and hitting the wall; these cars are so powerful and punching the gas after moving around a group of cars could make this happen.

His name is Tamar, Houston member of the V Club. I met him summer of last year, and he was a very nice and level headed guy. He was a music teacher, married with 2 young daughters.

I am not sure exactly what happened with the wreck. He was not ejected from the car, police found him pinned inside. He had to have been moving at a pretty good split a power pole like that, but I do think that the weaving in and out of traffic was a bit of an embellishment on the part of witnesses.

This serves as a serious reminder to all of us, because I know most of if not all of you like me are guilty of playing with speed. We must be careful how and when we decide to put the go pedal to the floor and have ourselves a speed rush.

Black guy in the green shirt is Tamar...his silver V is behind me (white shirt and tattoos).

RIP to this guy. I know we all like to get on our cars sometimes so i definitely agree with don't drive out of your comfort zone people. Too many people do and luckily he didn't kill someone else, if there was other people near him when he crashed
