Crankcase evac, from valvecovers to header collector?
Anyone try this yet? I've been looking through old magazines to get some testing results on this. Supposed to seal up the rings and ventilate the crankcase. Thus producing more power. Any thoughs on this?

Friend has a draft tube in the collector on his old Malibu with mufflers. The end of the hose has so much vacuum it will suck in the skin on your arm if you stick it up to it. Now mind you, these are sprint car mufflers so they are a straight through design. Like Chris said, if you have a twisty cat-back running it might not get you the vacuum you want.

I thought about doing this to evac pressure from the valve cover to my headers, but I am running a true dual 3" xpipe axle dump exhaust. I couldn't see how I would get enough vacuum with this setup so I decided to do it the right way and am installing a Moroso 3 vane vacuum pump with my new motor. I'll take some pics when I'm done.

I have the same x-pipe setup (longtubes, 3", dumped)....I want to try it. What size of a line are we talking about here. I am thinking 02 bung and that way I can cap it up if it doesn't work..... I also have C5R valve covers to boot. Maybe using 1 valve cover per collector..???? tell me I am full of **** or encourage with some education. either way.....

I am going to try evac on my setup. I am having baffles welded in to C5R valvecovers and running -10 lines to the headers. The car will be running by Sunday but will not be tuned for at least a week after that. I will keep you guys posted on the results.
