Default 94 opti plug

Looking to use the 95 vented Opti and 95 timming cover on my 94. Is the 94 opti plug compatible with the 95.

The electrical harnesses are different on the opti end. You'll need one for a vented opti.

U need to change to the later model opti connecter. Here the one i bought and used: http://www.lsxtune.com/shop/product_...roducts_id/928. Great price and they only charged be $2 for shipping.

George, if u want accurate information and prompt replies u need to put some of your car profile in your signature or in your "about me" personal history file so we know your not a troll. I can sense your question is genuine but with only 1 post we can never know how serious the OP is.

Hope this helps,
cardo

Thanks again. Just finished the Z but shooting for mid 11s. The same lower end with LE heads and cam combo (stock FI manifold) had my Caprice running mid 12s for the last 5 or 6 years. Rusted out frame last year sent the Caprice to the yard.

Depends on the opti brand you buy or have. Gm=need harness, msd=built in harness

I am aware, but he didn't say MSD, so I just assumed. Good to point out, though.

Nobody has mentioned that you'll need a 95+ cam... The dowel pin on the end of the 94 cam is too short to drive the 95+ opti... On shboxs site he has the measurement for the dowel if you don't want to get a new cam IIRC...

Thanks agian guys, I am going with AI heads, cam combo so the cam thing is good. Also using the 95 timming cover off a spare motor. Funny I had the MSD opti years back ( sold with the Caprice ) when they first hit the Lt1 scene and forgot it had a built in wire harness. Going Delphi this time.

Good catch Joe. We all overlooked that but lucky the OP has the cam too.
