Ok so I'm still on the process of returning my car to it's former glory when I bought it there was no shift boot much less the ring I have purchased the ring as well as the new boot however it's my understanding that there is a support bushing directly under the **** to keep the boot from slipping down does anyone know where I can purchase that bushing? Thanks in advance

The original boot from the factory was stiff enough to stand up the full height on its own. If you see a bushing on a stick, it's probably a lock nut for an aftermarket shift ****.

Do you have a problem with the boot falling down? If so, where did you get the boot and what kind of shifter do you have?
