Camaro Z28 vs H/C 306ci Mustang

Default Camaro Z28 vs H/C 306ci Mustang
This was the second quick run between a couple friends of mine, Mustang got the hit because of horrible traction/launching of the car. Camaro didn't really hit it until the end of first gear.


Camaro - ls1
- CheaTr cam
- 4.10's
- 2 step
- Drag wheels/tires with 28" et streets out back

Mustang
- H/C 306ci, sounded healthy not sure on specs?
- Drag wheels/tires but bald...
- Both cars are manual transmission

Also looks like no passenger in stang either stang had it all going for him and still couldn't pull the win.

If he's like most 5.0 stang owners he has GT40 irons with a B cam and FRPP shorties...but not too big of a throttle body and mass air meter, though, because that will **** it all up...

I'm also curious on the setup of the 306 in that Mustang. Could be anything from 275rwhp to 400rwhp, and unfortunately the GT40/letter-cam cars sound pretty damn healthy but don't run well. Can you get some more details OP?

I wouldn't say the Camero driver needs work......

Sounds like he was playing with the Mustang.....

Ill try to find out more from the owner. All I can come up with is the motor dyno'd 470hp at the crank, aluminum heads, 1.7 roller rockers, 12:1 compression. Ran a 13.08 spinning bad before the drag wheels/tires.
