Default BW s366 or GT45?

So I've been trying to figure out what turbo to use on my 5.3l 4l80e combo. Was set on going with the GT45 from vsracing but i found a pretty good deal on a only used for mock up BW s366 .91 A/R for around 400. Looking for around 550-600whp for the time being. Would the s366 get me to that or should i just go with the GT45? Thanks for any input.

If you can get the 366 for that price I would go that route. They would both put out similar power. There actually is a ongoing thread right now with a 4.8L 6speed with a S366. I think it was around 500whp on 8psi with a huge NA cam in it.

Yeah that is what i am thinking too. I did see that thread but wanted to get some other opinions on the two options. Ill most likely be using a ls6 cam or custom turbo cam as well.

Not sure how it translates directly but the BW S366 that I had and sold to a friend produced 690rwhp @ 25psi in a 2.0 Nissan motor. It was a T3 with .70 a/r and would have full boost by around 4800 RPM.

Just thought I would share in case there is any way to give you a better picture of how the turbo may function.

Where possible, I'd always go with a reputable brand name than a chinese copy.

Buy the BW. Although there are vendors selling them new on egay etc very very cheap

i just bought my s366 for 600 bucks brand new. 66mm compressor 73mm turbine .91 ar divided housing. ill be sure to post results in a couple months when i get the new kit built. im not going for any records just want a fun fast spooling 6 speed setup 550ish rwhp. there is no way im gonna spend 250-300 on a chinese gt45 when i can IMO get a better turbo for a few hundred more that doesnt sketch me out. I would guess a borg warner turbo is way more efficient then a gt45 with probably old tech wheels. dont get me wrong i was gonna get a gt45 but at 600 bucks ill go borg everyday.
