Default C5 Z06 and a plate...

Quick rundown…I have an 04 Z06 with Kooks LT's, X and a Halltech intake. Makes 397rwhp as is.Trying to be semi competitive(for fun) at a couple airport roll on's this spring. Looking into the plate kit from Nitrous Outlet and going for a 150 shot.

1. Is the factory fuel pump enough to keep pressure around 530rwhp/550rwtq? Fuel pump needed or BAP or both?

I have to put a clutch in anyway(sticky pedal ls6), so the fuel pump will be accessible while the diff is out. Im looking for the more reliable fuel option, even if more expensive as the car is mostly for the street.

2. Im reading some people say the car will not need to be tuned for a 150 shot. Others say they pull 2* of timing for every 50hp of nitrous. Im running TR6 NGK's already…can I supplement with some race fuel instead of dumping timing?

Does me no good if the car grenades itself so Im looking for the more reliable/safe, fuel and timing options. Not a rich dude but if an extra couple bucks saves the headache of worrying…I'm all for it.

Thanks in advance

We have sprayed 200 on a stock c5, with a stock pump. I have ran 100 shot on stock timing, anything above that, I would definitely pull timing on pump gas. If you are on a factory tune, 150 shot and race fuel will be fine on stock timing. Remember to start conservative, and you will be fine.

Be smart and do them. Get your tune checked, go with a colder plug and do a boost a pump. The cost of an engine is way more than cost of these little things.

Deffintly ditch the tr6s and get the br7ef plugs. Other than that like u said pull 6 degrees for a 150 shot u should be good. Race fuel wouldnt hurt when spraying but not needed.

Thanks for the replies...BR7EF plugs would be a step colder than a TR6?

Just to summarize...BR7EF's, -6*, BAP and a couple gallons of race fuel should keep this thing humpin all day at an airport on a 150 shot..sounds like a plan.

Ill have the gopro ready for sure!

lots of things you could do, but a fresh fuel filter would be a good addition.
