AI 190 for street only
Thinking of pulling the trigger on the AI 190 with the 226/234 I have the 503 now. Car also has headers,3:73 gears,Edge 3400 stall, comp 1.6....... the usual. I it rebuild it around 1000 miles ago went back all stock except cam and ARP rod bolts.
It is a street only car I might take it to the strip once or twice to see what it will do nothing more.
Would it be any benefit to spend the money on the heads if it's only a street car? I have also thought about putting the 226/234 and calling done. Any Thoughts?

Based on the fact that SVO 30's support 500 rwhp through an A4, I'd say the stock 24's will be plenty for the 503 cam and those heads. The 226/234 cam will get close to the limit, but I would try it if it were mine. For a street/strip car, don't worry about duty cycle shown by datalogging at WOT; if the A/F is good per the wideband, you're good. Only if you're roadracing the car on a big track or doing topend runs would I worry about DC.

That's impressive with just a cam and not much head work done.

I have the 190s on my 355 right now. When I had it in the car I loved them. Even seems im running the old GM847 cam. Huge difference over stock. Best bang for the buck!!
