I have a set of the Stainless F-body headers and am extremely happy with them. They are by far one of the nicest sets of headers i have ever dealt with.
Thanks again Barry

Barry,
I just installed my Stainless Steel QTP LT's on my 02 LS1 this weekend and it was a breeze. Your Catted Y pipe was also a breeze to put together. Absolute Top notch on quality, fit, finish, and customer Service

I put QTP LTs on two weeks ago... all I had to do was lift the motor maybe 3", and disconnect the front a-arm (I think). They slid right in.. no problems at all. The hard part was getting all of the Stage-8 bolts tight. The power increase is definately noticable.

I am about to order some 1 7/8 headers and qtec y-pipe from you. Wondering what kind of realistic gains would the velocity collector give a 4** motor?

Is this deal still on? I'd be interested in ordering a set if it is.

Default How about a stainless version of the y-pipe

Hey, how about a stainless version of the y-pipe portion WITH bolts long enough for the electric motor ALREADY welded on, too?

I ended up buying another catback, because Meineke Muffler screwed up my nice stainless steel SLP dual/dual on the initial install. Now when I get my new Magna Flow installed, it would be nice if I didn't mess up that fine looking stainless steel exhaust with just a black steel y-pipe.

ANYONE else have that concern???

The HVC collector can give you some really nice gains. But its hard to say what it will be. Every car is different. One customer Durien gained 19hp over Jet Hot headers with the 1 3/4 style. Not every car will show gains like that. But if you want every horsepower out of your headers this is the way to go. Any questions call us. We have a 1 7/8 HVC on the shelf.

We dont make the cutouts. Flowtech does. They wont change them for us no matter how many we buy. We have looked into stainless steel cutouts. But when it costs 3 times more to use stainless, i dont think people are going to spend $75.00 each for a cutout.

And the Header deal is still on.

Durien switched out his jet hot y-pipe (which has a crappy collector) to a QTP y-pipe with a flowmaster collector and also had tuning done for the QTP's, but not the Jet Hot's.

Godspeed only gained 5hp and 2 torque when he was testing normal collectors and merge collectors on a c5 with LG's headers, so I wouldn't expect big gains from your HVC collectors and their definetly not worth $500 more.

Funny how Durien deleted all the threads where people questioned his gains!

Hey Barry,

Are the merge collectors you sale a slip-on collector or are they machine welded to the primaries?

Slip-on collectors have a bad history of leaking and throwing off your a/f. I guess that's why dynatech doesn't offer merge collectors on their headers anymore.

They are welded on. But not welded all the way around cause you can get to the insides. We have them on all our cars here and no a/f problems what so ever. And with stainless steel it expands as soon as you run the engine closing any gaps that might be.
