Default How do you think this will sound? ;)

So, from a cammed LS3, I'm running Kooks Longtube Headers to a 3" Kooks ORY to a 3" Borla adjustable catback. I just ordered a 16" (short) 3" power stick bullet muffler which will replace the Borla muffler only. The other side will be straight piped (open Borla plate) while the side with the Borla muffler will have the muffler cut out and the power stick put in.

Any opinions on this set up? I will definitely have a video up once it all comes together. Also selling the Borla muffler if anyone would be interested in that.

Is that power stick a chambered design?

All I know is that it seems that most of the long tube/ORY/chambered muffler setups i've heard have a certain amount of rasp to them. Not saying you will, but I have noticed more so over a straight through style muffler

Yeah, the thing that sold me on them is they have a semi-raspy tone when cruising, then they scream when you get on it.

I'm sick of the Borla though the owner before me had it put on. It's a nice muffler but a little too quiet for me.

Gotcha! It sounds like that might be what you are looking for then. The ones i've heard in person were both head/cam LS1's with Flowmaster and GMMG catbacks with ORY and long tubes. They both had a very raspy tone IMO. Yours might work out well that power stick design on a LS3

I'm hoping so. I run around with the cutout open all the time and it's a little too loud for daily driving but the Borla is a little too quiet for me. This should make a nice settlement. Apparently it has the design of a GMMG exhaust but we will see!
