Default Engine to Bellhousing Bolt Pattern

All,

I didn't get any responses in the external catagory, so I though I'd try here with the hard core engine types.
I'm trying to locate the dimensions for the bolt pattern (relative to the crank C/L) of the bellhousing mounting flange on the motor. Also, I'd like the distance from crank C/L to the starter shaft C/L and it's relative position. Can anyone point me to a source for this kind of info? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Andy

The SBC and Gen3/Gen4 (LS1, LS2, etc ...) all share the same bolt pattern, although some hole locations are not used and some hole locations are extra. But the pattern interchanges between the trans and engines from all the way back to 1955.

Reason I'm asking is this..... I'm swapping an LS1 into my 1980 Jeep CJ5. Think this will bolt up to the motor?

Yes, it will. It has the standard Chevy bolt pattern. Many on here are using TH350/TH400 and even Powerglides with LSx engines.

Awesome. Just got off the phone with Advanced Adapters and they said it will work as well. Just thought I'd post my findings here. Thanks for the help guys!
