Default Saturdays...

I can't believe it's taken me this long to get some decent sound clips of my exhaust. I'd still like to do some more, but now that I've dug up my camera I'll get them soon. Enjoy.

Take note that all windows are up in this one. The humming afterward is the sound of brand new Continental tires. No idea why they're so loud.

DW. I'll play with tire pressures to see if that has anything to do with it.

Are the tires directional? And if so, we're they mounted correctly?

Non-directional. The reviews have said they are comparable in noise to Michelin Pilot Sports... so something is definitely up. I'm guessing they've just got too much air pressure in them.

Thanks a lot! I love them now that they're refinished. They weren't looking so great before and I'm glad I finally pulled the trigger.

I ran about 38 psi in my DW's, seemed like a good pressure.

That's where they were. Aired down to 33psi tonight. Not sure if it helped much. It seems to be one tire making the noise (PSR). I may have to take it back to discount tire. Only have about 100miles on them.

Standard balance at discount tire. Had it aligned at a AAA auto are center near home right after. I had just replaced tie rods too. I didn't get an alignment spec sheet though...

If there is no weird shake then i would check the alignment again. Could just be a bad tire too.

I'm going to swap the fullsize spare onto the suspected corner this weekend to see if I can weed out the noise.

Update on the tire noise:

I swapped the spare on and went for a ride last week. The noise was greatly reduced. I figured it was just a bad tire, so I called up Discount to warranty the tire and they agreed and ordered a new tire. I got the chance to get the new one put on this morning and the noise is just the same. I'm chalking this one up to the tread design on 275's. There is an extra solid rib in the tread which I think could be the culprit. I doubt I would have this complaint if I had 245's all the way around. Unfortunately I'll just have to live with another set of noisy tires. My 30k directional tires weren't even this bad.

Haha, there's no way the 19's fit on the front. The 18's barely fit with spacers. The spacing on the STS-v wheels is slightly different (by 10mm).
