Default Valve lash adjustment

I know this is not a mustang forum but I believe the same principal ideas would apply. How do I go about setting the valve lash for a mustang gt earlier 90's model. I have different from every person I've asked as well as diffrerent articles I've read. Just don't want to kill something in the engine. Any input would be helpful.

Most standard engines are 0 valve lash by hand and then a 1/2 turn

I agree with soundengineer. That's what it said on the directions that came with my brother's roller rockers for his 5.0.
