gen3 VS gen4 crank sensor?
Previously running a gen3 motor. Got a new gen 4 motor now and the crank sensor plugs are not compatible. Are there any differences in the sensor itself?
I have an AEM EMS ECU. Already have the new 4x cam tooth and 58x crank tooth tune loaded in the ECU. that shouldn't be an issue. Just need to know If I can use my old gen3 crank pickup to read the 58x tooth crank trigger or not.
OHM'd the sensor s out and got 780 on one and 800 on the other. (mid pin to grnd)
Are all the sensors setup this way?

Is that true with the gen4 cam sensors as well?
What do you mean by rim voltage? The supply voltage is still 12v correct? Aren't these just a hallman type sensor that shoots an on/off signal each time it passes over a "tooth" or "space"?
I'm assuming I'd have to use the old black style pickup and assume new file AEM sent to me will recognise the 58x signal.
As far as the wiring on the new gen4 crank sensor. Is that the same? Center terminal grnd, A-pickup, c-power?
Thank you!
