Default Best 24X lt1 tuner

Who seems to be the best at tuning the lt1s with the 24x swap. Any mail order tuners that can get them pretty close?

Yes, but a LS1 mail order tuner will be used to pumping out crappy LS1 tunes which will not work so great on a LT1 motor and heads.

Just call up some LSX tuners and see what they say.

I'd go with PCM for less....they do LS AND LT1 tuning and are familiar with the 24x conversion; they tried to sell me on it when they dyno tuned my 383. It's just your standard mild 383, 11.5 CR/factory ported heads/cam/stroker with 42# injectors that I spin to 6600 RPM or so for street duty.

What you really want is a lt tuner that has moved onto ls cars. Knows what a lt wants but used to ls computa

I went ion at mad tuner. Wasn't perfect but pretty damn good considering the fact that it was a mail order start up tune.

I used PCMforless for my start-up tune on my HCI 24x setup, fired right up. The tune wasn't too far off in power but I only needed it to get the engine fired up and a little break-in time before dyno tuning.

Solomon. Hands down. Only one I know that will send you the equipment to datalog as YOU drive and make corrections based on how you're gonna run it. Also no blanket tune and have a nice day, he'll continue tuning until you are satisfied. I'll never go anywhere else...I've tried PCMforless, worked well but left a lot on the table.

I would be happy to take care of any questions or inquiries you may have. Feel free to shoot me an email or message.

Here is our website if you'd like more info on pricing, our dyno, and some general items to check off prior to getting your car tuned at a shop.

Thanks

Alex,

A shot in the dark that my yield good results.....but why don't you call TorqHead and ask them who their dealers are in your neck of the woods?

I'd bet a nickle that their dealers could refine the tune that TorqHead supplies in their ECMs.

Another thought.....ask Karl. He knows lots of folks!!

Just a thought.
