I have completely bald comp t/a's. They are great during a dry day, no problem whipping around turns or tearin around town. BUT when it gets wet, beware. Also you do realize that drag radials only last around 4000-5000 miles max. Not really a good investment for a daily type driver if you ask me. I am planning of gettin the gforce kd's because I have heard they stick just as well for a lightly modded ls1 compared to the comp t/a's.

Nittos will last longer than BFGs... you can get a good 10k miles from the Nittos. I've used mine for almost 5k miles now and they still have really good tread with about 30 passes at the track on them.

When they have tread, they handle pretty well in the rain... in fact, they hydroplane less than my Goodyear RSA street tires that came stock on the car do. But when they start to go bald, I wouldn't drive them in the rain anymore.

So think a set of Nitto 555 245/50/16's in the rear would be a good combo for street and track?

i rock the 555DR's you must realize due to 100 treadwear they are going to wear out FAST esp with track events. My bro had like 50% wear and hit a puddle and spun off the side of the road. I don't do freeways (city driver) unless necessary, but yeah these ****'s are pretty worn after 5K miles and a 20+ passes. I also rock out at 25psi HOT on the street, say in case i needed to use the extra grip.

Otherwise they kinda suck in winter, its like the tires become hard as a rock on cold mornings.
