Default Zones has dubbed it the Thing! (pic heavy)

this started as something that i wanted to do and pretty much turned into a time and money pit! however i am very close to getting this thing finished up. I have made great strides in the last month from nothing to a full rolling chassis with a motor and transmission..... had some hiccups along the way but i can see the light at the end of the tunnel! so enough rambling on with the pictures!

If i had it to do all over again i would have bought some sort of build a chassis..... the amount of work that it takes to "redo" something is ridiculous.

Could not use the gto spares unfortunatly!

Super expensive ride tech shocks

rebuilt the entire front suspension from the c4 corvette!

i was able to clean up the snout and it works fine.... however the pioneer flexplate that i purchased for the 6.0 the sparcer did not have the proper clearance..... bought it because it was cheaper than the same flywheel without the spacer. put a spare gm one that i had and not it is all good.

My friend builds frames for circle track cars. You can get rollers here for sub 5k. Im interested in doin it and havin him modify it for 2 seats...

theirs have to weigh 2500 after the race, you account for fuel usage, and added mud weight lol. I could see 2200 bare minimum addons and 2000 with aluminum block and a glide?

Cool....THING! It kind of makes me think of an oversized "locost 7" meets circle track Meets redneck Racin'! Are you planning to install an aluminum or fiberglass body for it? Im interested to see where the THING goes! Best of luck.

Think he was going to use aluminum sheet panels.

I would have made him rock the radiator back and drop the fuel tank down if he was down here still.
