Default B&B 3 inch, drone, and cones.

I have a B&B 3 inch header back connected to Kooks clones OBX headers. The drone at certain RPM's is unbearable to say the least. I was on the phone with the guys at B&B talking about it and what I could do to alleviate it, and he's mailing me a set of cones to tack into my tips to get rid of the resonance caused by the droning. I'll say this: this dude kicks ***, awesome company, great support.

Would anyone be interested in me doing a before/after video relating to the drone as a reference to see what the cones do?

I've been running B&B headers, cats, x-pipe, and mufflers for years. Looked into the droning issue a while back and I don't think the cones actually did much. The only real "solution" is to downshift.

The real solution would be to do this - https://ls1tech.com/forums/cadillac-...ltz-tubes.html.

J pipes is the solution. The original owner on my car had b&b installed after two years of driving the drone got to me. I. Sold the bb and now drive with a corsa exhaust. No.regrets

I know this isn't entirely helpful, but Magnaflow 4x9s are very tame...unless you want loud with no drone. Also, looking at your mod list, you would probably overpower those mufflers as opposed to stock motor, haha. I just got done driving 1250 miles, and no discomfort whatsoever. But if you want to keep the B&B sound, the Helmholtz pipes are definitely worth looking at.

When I do my B&B exhaust, I'd like to replace the included X-pipe with a resonated X-pipe. The Magnaflow 11386 is almost worshiped for its ability to eliminate rasp without reducing power, but it's only got a 2.5" dual inlet/outlet. If you find a 3.0" version, let me know.

Check this out:
