I have a 69 Camaro that I am making a pro touring car. I have already purchased a ls3 and a F1r pro charger that will be pushing 8-10lbs max on the motor. I need a transmission!!! What should I go with? I really want a six speed automatic.. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

I already know the blower is over kill for the motor and can push 20lb of boost but it was purchased a couple years ago so I figure It would do the job

Transmission needs to be rated at 800rwhp. I am ready to purchase a transmission and get this baby on the road!! I have heard the new 6l90e is good but won't hold up to the Hp. A 6l80 is great but big. 700r4 is good when built. It's driving me crazy trying to figure out what I should purchase..

Easiest thing to do, would be to call Chuck @ FLT, or give Jake's Performance a call.

With that much power you don't need 6 speeds.
A 4L80E seems like an obvious choice; they are not overly difficult to fit into a '69 Camaro.
Jake is not only the 4L80E expert, he is very active on the NastyZ28 forum (1st and 2nd Gen Camaro) and therefore knows these cars well too.

Know this is a couple month old and probably already got your transmission. But what about the TCI 6x? good for 850hp and an be upgraded for even more.

4L80E is the only way to fly. That will be my next step. Get the transgo shift-kit, and the monster package with a SFI felxplate and try to tear it up....good luck.
