Would anyone be interested in some V1 weight information?
Hey all. Quick introduction, been lurking on the V section of this board and the forced induction section (building a 4.8/80mm/t56 3rd gen on the side) for a year or two now. Just finally got around to registering as I picked up my V in August. 2005, bone stock. Bought it with 22k on the clock, DD'ing it, and it's up around 37k on it now.
Anyways, I was looking in the suspension tuning thread and didn't see where anyone was able to provide accurate data on exact weights. I have a Longacre scale at my disposal, and was wondering if you all want me to throw my bone stock car up on it to get you all a good baseline of total, corner, cross and front/rear weights? Just let me know how much fuel you want me to put in it and I can get you all some information in the next few days.
Edit: For easy information access...
Well finally got to throwing the car on the scales yesterday before doing my Alradco swap.
Bone stock 2005 CTS-V. Filled the tank to the click and drove .5 miles back to the shop. 32PSI all around on Nexen 3000 stock size tires.
Zero the scales:

I did see that, maybe in a few years when she get tired I'll turn her into an autocross machine, but she is my dd at the moment so not enough of a ROI to start tearing into her yet.
How much fuel do you all run with? Seems like If a few pounds are worth some decent coin I can get you a close base. Maybe I'll just do a full, half, and an empty test.

Speaking of corner weights, I've been dying to get my car corner weighed. Unfortunately, it seems like most places charge about $500. Which is absolutely not going to happen.

Full tank. On track I only get about 9-10gal of fuel used before I start to get fuel starvation coming out of long, high g corners. Running any less than a full tank would mean I'd be filling up before/after every session.

I assume that was without a driver? It's weird that you have that rear cross weight. The only asymmetricalities in the rear are the position of the XM Receiver and the Bose amplifier.

Quoting myself from another thread...
And then later...
I didn't record the corner weights on the last one, but it was the same set of scales.
I figured some of you would like to know these numbers. These were taken with me in the car (about 168 lbs), my helmet in the passenger seat, about a half tank of gas, a few trunk interior pieces removed, some dynamat back there, Kooks headers, hi-flow cats, Corsa catback, sunroof, rear strut tower brace, BMR front brace, Optima redtop in stock location.

I went ahead and weighed it again yesterday. Changes are the clutch/flywheel, wheels/tires, rear seat removed, maybe a quarter tank of gas less (if that) and I've gained about 20 lbs...
3886 lbs!

Yea non of us wieght the same but it would be nice to see how the wieghts per corner differ with a driver in the car. Bet you $5 not all his wieght will be on the driver side tire.

True. It will be interesting to see back to back results with and without drivers. I've been looking at the differences in 07CTS-V's and my numbers and trying to figure out why his left rear is noticeably higher even with me being in the car for my weigh in.

Yeah....so tell me why again that is beneficial to the rest of us? This thread is just to find out stock weight, total and each corner. With that said, most of us will have different results as to what the after numbers (op sitting in his stock car) would be. Due to different mods of each, coilover choices, sway bars, weight reduction, frame stiffening etc. To see how the stock form of the car reacts to him sitting in it is worthless. As nothing can be done to correct it. There are no adjustments available.
