I'm with him. Either that or you have the best running V here. I'd expect more about 380hp.

Congrats on the numbers. I just pulled 389 today and pulled 380 on a different dyno several months ago. My only mods are B&B long tubes, high flow cats, exhaust, CAI and tune. The cam goes in next week.... The guys above have a ton of knowledge but every car is different and every dyno is different. Just because they say it cant be done doesnt mean it can't. Don't let the bad vibe get to you...

Dyno numbers depend on so many variables. Really they should only be looked at as a tuning tool. There is a reason why they call them rolling roads... It keeps you out of tickets while tuning.

I expect about 330-335 rwhp stock and you should be 370-380 rwhp with bolt ons and a tune. Cam should push you over 400 but 436 seems a but high with a smaller cam.

Good numbers though op go see how it runs at the track that's the true test.

Is that cam small enough to use the stock valvetrain? I'm looking to cam my ls6 but I don't have funds for springs and what not right now. Besides its just a daily so I don't want that big of a cam anyway

Not a good idea. The stock springs can and will break, one of mine broke, luckily it didn't drop a valve. A cam swap isn't just a cam. It's a good idea to change your oil pump, timing set, springs, lifters, and trays. Well most of it is a good idea while you're in there anyways.

I hope to break 400rwhp when I put my cam in. Great numbers OP.

How's everyone's stock clutches doing after a cam install?

I'm not sure how many miles are on your car, but anything that would reuse those springs would yield negligible power over a stock cam. I put LS9 springs in my car after the stock LS6 spring broke. I think those are still only good to .65 lift or a little less. I didn't test the lift or anything, partly because, I don't have the machine to do so, partly because they are stock LS springs going in and I'm still on a stock LS6 cam

I'm on prc valve springs and titanium retainers with chromoly pushrods.

I made 418 on the 2nd to last pull and he saw some room up top to add a couple more degrees of timing and it smacked down 436. I agree on the numbers being high. But it feels like a freight train up top. And track won't be on my list of todo's until that rear end is replaced lol.

For those who like dyno sheets

For $20 track is fun and no need to beat on the car to get an idea of your trap speed!

You made 422 with a what I believe to be a tad bit smaller cam

My cam specs are 231/234 .643/598 111 lsa and I made before my last pull 418 and he saw some room so he bumped my timing up at the tippy top and popped out the 436. Weather conditions were like 65 degrees beautiful day. I posted my dyno sheet in post #14 I believe it was. Just so you know I'm not blowing smoke.

You could do a gm hotcam for cheap with some LS6 or LS9 springs.

LS9 springs are good to .580" lift. I wish they were good to .65

The dyno that you used (Dyno Dynamics) tends to give higher numbers compared to Dynojet or Mustang Dyno that most tuners have.

My hp is fine.

He said it was random dip, he said it was something he saw with my cam sometimes. It doesn't skip a beat at WOT.
