Default any dual spring install tips???

having problems with inner spring keeps popping out of spring compressor when trying to install these crane springs



any tips on how to get it so it doesnt do this???

or any other tips?

I had the same problem bought a compressor from Autozone that screws in from the topand had longer extensions on the arms and that just barely worked. Do a search for the Larry tool. I just e-mailed him about buying one but he needs 20 orders to have them made. I will definitely use his tool next time! will make spring changes a snap.

Cant beat this tool with a stick




Two springs at once and it doesnt put any loads on the rocker arm stud bolt

damn i need to find another since we tried weldng some extensions on but that worked for about 3 springs then the weld got weak

I just put a set of Comp921 dual springs using the More valve spring tool and it was a piece of cake. No problems whatsoever, even getting to the back set of springs.

The More tool is available from several of the sponsors.

I used Larry's tool to install a few broken and then take out all the REV 1116's I was running.

That tool from vinci looks awesome, and would be a lot faster.

well it is in my friends SS and he lives in orange city IA

too bad i didnt know this before i coulda paid ya to borrow it?

have appointment at doug rippie tomorrow for a tune only thing left is to install the 13 new springs, since cheapy compressor did the trick for a few of them til it crapped out
