Has anyone ever added an overhead console to the 4th gen Camaro?
Well usually I like to add the auto dimming mirror with compass and temperature readouts but it's hard to find them with the map lights at the jy. From what I've gathered, only a handful of cars had them. So then I got to thinking, why not do an overhead console? The Camaro I have has T tops, and there's that bar in the center just hanging out un-utilized. I found out that the 3rd gens actually had an option for the overhead console, and I've seen people do the overhead console mod on 2nd gens, but I can't seem to find someone doing it for the 4th gen. Has anyone done it?
I'm not too concerned about donor cars and such, since I can easily play around with fitments at a yard (considering that 4th gens are still common) but I want to see if anyone actually tried this and succeeded.

I know they do, but what I've seen is usually sold for $200. I'm not about to pay that insane amount of money on a mirror when I can find one at the junkyard for $10. Besides, it's not a real necessity, its' a feature I like but not important.

i bought mine about 12 years ago it was way more then 200. i think i paid more like 5 hundred for it. it has led map lights, compass, temp and auto dimming. i have problems seeing at night so it just made it easier to buy it from them with the harness and everything.
