Default What is an 04 shell worth?

I am interested in getting some info on what my car would be worth without the motor swap. My friend has his heart set on putting the LS6 into his G35(who knows why) and said he would be interesting in purchasing mine. My car will have around 100k, everything in good used condition. Bascially complete minus the swap not sure if that would be called a shell. I know it is hard without seeing it, but looking for a ballpark figure.

I am really looking into getting into a 2009 V2 if I can find a higher mileage for the right price.

That would be considered a roller not a shell. For a roller id figure 6-8k maybe without the motor or trans.

pretty sure it will have everything but the motor and trans. They make kits to put the LS into the G35 and I have an extra ecu.

it wouldnt also be an easy sell, either keep the motor and help him find one or just sell the whole car.

I agree. I think it would be rather hard selling a Non running V for 6k.. The demand for these cars really isn't that high with the V2's dropping. Someone's realistically probably going to drop nearly $3-4k in a trans and engine to go back in the car. At that point they're close to $10k plus how ever long it takes to put the car back together. You can buy V's around 100k miles and less for $14k running and driving. In my opinion the shell is worth less than $6k. So you are better off selling the car as a whole and helping your friend find a motor and trans for his car. He's the one that will benefit greatly from this deal and you probably will lose out on a lot of money.

Or you can always part it, but that obviously reqs much more effort.

I'd think $4-$5k would be more in line with what you would get.

sell the damn car as it sits, use the money to buy an LS6 and T56, and sell him that stuff for what he's offering to pay for it, and make a ton more.

You're much better off finding a low mile Ls1/t56 and swapping heads and cams with better alternatives.
