Shifter ball doesnt thread....

Shifter ball doesnt thread.... I bought a used pro 5.0. Like new condition. I'm
Assuming came with the pro 5.0 stick on it. I swapped that over, and the factory shifter with the H on it does not thread in. I've read people having no troubles. Obviously the thread pitch is different. Anyone have any ideas outside of buying a different short stick?

If it were me, I would go to Ace Hardware and find a bolt with threads that match the shifter **** threads. Cut the threaded portion of the shifter handle off. Cut the hex head off the new bolt and weld threaded portion to the shifter handle. Done. Easy if you have a welder.
