Could you guys check your Thottle Follower tables, both P/N Airflow Decay and Airflow Decay in Gear, and tell me if the RPM drop increases with an increase in the decay values ( i.e. if you increase the decay value does the RPM return to idle faster)? It would be great if an fbod and ybod could each weigh in for these tables. Thanks guys.

Seems that Fbod and Ybods respond oppositely to an increase in the decay values. Fbods have a slower drop to idle and Ybods have a faster drop in RPM to idle - for the same increase in decay. I was wondering if this was a peculiarity to lS1Edit?? As you know some tables have been mislabeled and/or mis-scaled in LS1Edit.

I do not know the answer to that.. but for what its worth, as I'm sure you can assume, those tables came from HP Tuners editor.
I can dig up some tables from other binaries if you like.

No need - those are a big help. Both increasing values , all 4 tables. Now if someone can increase the values at 0 - 6 mph, for ex, and let us know the results for fbod and Ybod . Thanks again, Keith.

the throttle follower decay works like this:
an airflow value is calculated during non-zero throttle conditions using the two airflow and airflowmult tables.
ThrottleFollowerAirflow = (Airflow vs TPS) * (AirflowMult vs RPM)
This value is added to the current total IdleAirflow value.
when the throttle is closed suddenly, ThrottleFollowerAirflow is reduced to zero according to the decay tables. The decay value is subtracted from the ThrottleFollowerAirflow value. Once the decay reduces the ThrottleFollowerAirflow to zero it stays at zero (ie. it has served its purpose). Bigger numbers mean faster decay.

Is there any difference in how this behaves between
Y-body ('Vette, electronic throttle) and F-body (IAC
plus mechanical throttle)? Original poster indicated he
thought the sense was flipped, but perhaps there is
just some other electronic throttle function / effect
that's at play?

So this function deals with returning the RPM's to idle when you let off the gas? On a mechanical tb car it somehow controls when iac opens in relation to tb blade closing?
