Default Who bought team dynamics wheels on eBay?

I just ordered a set. Been watching them for over a year. It's been 48 hours and no order confirmation or ship notice other than the automated paypal and eBay ones. Usually a seller acknowledges you, but not always. I'm wondering if anyone has a buying experience to share. (How long should I not be worried for? Everything's gonna be fine; I got screwed you should've asked first, etc. )

I will if it gets too far. That's why I'm asking and not bashing or complaining. I sent them an eBay message for now. Gotta give them a chance. I just know that's been the place to get them for a while so I thought I'd see if someone had anything related to share.

I ordered some and didn't get anything but the generic message. Wheels fit like **** so I sent them back and they gave a full refund

That's a first. Never heard a peep about the wheels themselves. What 'fit like ****'?

So it sounds like the seller was just fine then?

You're stock lug nuts will not work with these wheels. You will need low profile lugs. Some people have issues with the rear wheels needing a spacer as the lip of the wheel hub/bearing. I just grounded my lip down so I didn't have to run the spacers.

So no response through eBay messages. Sent them a direct email. Thanks for the contact info.

Any lug suggestions?

They have lugs they will sell you that are light weight lugs and low profile. I believe they are around $80 for all 4 wheels. I ended up buying these (
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002801YBE/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002801YBE/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
) because at the time i thought i was going to switch to a longer stud and therefore the open end made sense. I'm running them now because i like the look. They are a little thicker then the ones trinitytek sells but are still light and work well.

I was using low profile lugs but the hub size was wrong. After time they hubs literally pushed through 2 of the rims and created massive holes. I wrote to their US warehouse and after "investigating" they concluded that 05's have larger hubs than 04 or 06 and offered to bore the wheels open more so they would fit. Dafuq? Needless to say I sent them back and just avoided them

If it doesn't work out with ebay I bought mine from Import Alloys. I emailed them and they gave me 10% off so not too bad.

Say what? Isn't there already a massive hole in the center of the wheel where the hub would be "pushing through"?

Ok thanks. Rest of this thread makes my head spin. Worst part so far is their website has the wheels listed for $50 less and free shipping ($100 less) so wtf. Hope they email me at least. I'm pretty determined to make these work but wouldn't hate a few weeks to sort it out

There shouldn't be anything to sort out. I've never heard of anyone having fitment issues with these, and Condor's explanation doesn't even make sense. Mine fit just fine on my '05 and have been on the car for multiple track weekends without issue.

Sorry, let me try to explain better.

The center section of the rim (where you would put the center cap) was pushed out on 2 different wheels after tightening them down. It looked like broken welds honestly but the wheels are normally cast in 1 piece so idk wtf happened. I wish my phone wasn't busted so I could show you guys pictures of what I'm referring to.

As far as 05 hubs being different, I KNOW they are NOT different and having a wheel company who makes wheels specifically for my car tell me something that ridiculous lead me to avoiding them all together. Maybe I got a bad set or spoke to someone who was clueless? Idk but the wheels weren't nice enough for me to want to go through the hassle.

Ok well they emailed me back. They went out Friday and I should have tracking Monday. I guess I'll test fit one on the rear before I get tires mounted just to be sure.

Test fitting never hurts but I'm positive my situation was an isolated one. I've never heard anyone else having problems (hence why I went with TD). It's a shame too cause they are nice wheels. Here's a shot my friend took of my car before I sent them back.

I've not seen anyone else with that problem but am aware that some people use spacers for some reason so maybe there's something there.
Fwiw, I emailed them back and forth a few times today. Very pleasant and straightforward. I wouldn't hesitate to order straight from their website and pay less than the eBay auction.

These were the lugs he recommended for street use:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/24PC-CADILLAC-CTS-CTS-V-RACING-LUG-NUTS-12X1-5-BLACK-/360169279291?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories &hash=item53dbc30f3b&vxp=mtr

He said they sell some pricey ones for racing but these are fine for street.
