Default turbo ls1 running at 215 for 15-30 mins at idle.

There's a lot of bullshit on this topic. So I'm wondering if running at 215 (winter, indoor, 40º outside) is gonna be ok. I think I will be going with a 160 in the summer, but 215 seems higb to me!

I whould think it is a 195 t stat but your fans might not come on until 220 or so .

Looks like we are in the same boat. I am basically waiting til summer to see how it does. 215 is not a bad thing. It allows the oil to get hot enough to boil off water and fuel in the crankcase. But like you a little anxious about summer time.

Yep.... My 5.3 idles/runs/drives in all weather @ 210*.....
