Default 7.4 pushrods right?

Currently in my 2000 fbody I'm running a 236 238 .605 lift can with ls1 lifters, ls1 rockers, and whatever stock head I have I think its 241 or 853.....anyway I'm buying 799s from a member who says they r unmilled heads......I'm almost positive I'm running 7.4 rods now, and he said that's wat he is using now....there is no reason y my current rods won't work with the new heads right?

Buy a $20 comp cam pushrod checker and remove all doubt.. Then you'll always have it for future builds..

Different cams can have different cam base circle diameters, which will most definitely affect the length of the pushrod required. So the 7.4s might not be the right length now and if that's the case they will not be the right length with the new heads.

just have to bolt everything together and check your lifter pre load.
