Default transmission fluid... what to go with

So fellas, im swapping out my clutch with a stage 2 monster, hoping that resolves my shifting issues from last summer and that its not something with the tranny.. anywho, I've been looking around the site and noticed something, no one agrees as to what to put into the tranny, weather its syncromesh, royal purple, mobil 1, dexron, or a number of other things.

so what the hell do I put in this thing? its stock t56, I might drag it a few times this year, it'll see some hard driving but a lot of regular cruising too. I live in CT and drive it from march/april to about November so the coldest it will really see is about in the 30's

thanks

really any dex 3 would work just fine. Synthetic is not the best for synchro rings but amsoil or redline d4 would be just fine. If you want to stay with a non-synthetic to be safe then synchro mesh is my choice. I personally run redline in mine and it shifts great

unless you have upgraded blockers I would not run anything but standard fluid.
