Ugh broke bolt installing new 4L60e valve body
Sheesh as the title states, installing a new valve body in an 02 4L60E. The center bolt snapped as I was torquing it down. Pretty sure I know the answer but I'm gonna ask anyway... do I have to take this thing back apart?

Wow, that is really bad luck.
Obviously you need to remove the valve body (VB) to see what the situations is; with better "luck" it might then be relatively easy to remove.
Are you sure you installed the different VB bolts in the correct position?
The ones closest to the center of the trans are the shortest ones.
The bolts are only torqued to 96 in/lbs which is 8 ft/lbs. I use a 1/4 torque wrench for the final tightening.
