On the way home from the drag strip last night I ran a red Z06 vette not stock ran 11.10s to 11.15s all night kept coming up and saying crap that my car was a cheap bades 6 banger with a hood well on the way home he got beside me we was going 55 to 60.We both mashed it and I did nothing but start pulling ran up to 145 I know to fast for being on a road Well I was watching my stock tach and it kept showing 7 grand but I never heard my rev limiter????????? Would the cam make it not read right since it revs so quick? If thats the case ill be ordering an auto meter I dont like when I can see what everything is doing I kept in it a bit to see if I heard my limiter or it shifting into overdrive but heard nothing any ideas do I need a tach? HAd fun though ran him twice then he went back and stay behind me

the only places here is broad street (import City) and over by the park well most of the fast cars and bike sit I dont really street race this was my first time.I wass coming from muncie at the drag strip there

With the VIG 4400 being underrated that converter is like a 5000 so I can imagine with shift extension it wouldn't drop much. What is your rev limiter set at?

RJF, I've run a Z06 at the track and was very surprised as to how this cam was able to pull on the Z06 AFTER the 1/8th.
Definately get your limiter situation looked at, you don't want to spin past 7000, that's for sure.

just get someone to autotap a wot run for you...check what rpm that car is really running to as the stock tach is garbage.

yeah the 12.2 was an old time Yeah my tuner is going to hook it up but I wanted to see from people them self if they ever had this problem.You guy think I shuold go ahead and order the auto meter or what?
My limiter according to my tuner is set at 6800 So I guess theres only one way to find out Thanks guys
