Depends on the rest of the setup and which Flomaster and Magnaflow you are talking about

Magnaflow ftw. Not that loud like most say but its plenty loud enough to hear it screaming from a good distance away when you're on the throttle. And the exhaust note is pure sex.

Once you have it cammed it's going to be noticeably louder so even the Magnaflow will be a little loud, just not as loud as the FM 10's.
There's also Borla, and Dynomax Ultra Flo as comparable options to the Magnaflow.

Magnaflow is the worst sounding garbage I've ever heard. Stick with flowmaster or try something else besides magnaflow.

^^^ I was wondering when you would chime in ! ^^^

Did you have a really bad experience with a Magnaflow muffler at one time...?

Well, I actually leaned towards a Magnaflow due to all the terrible advice given here. It's a good thing i didn't pay retail for it because they are overpriced too. Though I realize it isn't as pushed as it once was, there are still those who mindlessly follow and repeat the same bad advice even today. Someone has to break the cycle! I feel like the chosen one most times

Every F body with duels and Dynomax bullets I have ever heard sounded 100% incredible. The Magnapacks sound good in my opinion too. Every other Magnaflow muffler I have ever heard in person I have not really cared for... Then again exhaust preference is about as diverse as it can get. I have been in setups that sounded like Nickleback was playing a concert underneath the car, but to the owner it sounded amazing... All personal preference.

I have a magnaflow catback on my TBSS and I like it. It's quiet but you can still hear that it's not stock.

However on my f-bodies I have always ran a bullet on the Y-pipe or GMMG...... or an open downpipe for this build.

Magnaflow by far. I've had compliments from an owner of an Audi R8 V8 with aftermarket exhaust as well as a Porsche GT3 about how awesome my car sounds. Especially with longtubes, Magnaflow ftw. No drone and has a stealth mode to it..plus you can clear the left lane in 1st through 4th!

A few other good option I forgot to mention is the QTP AR3, and Dynatech Splitflow. The QTP appears to be Identical to the Dynatech, with the exception being the QTP is 304SS, and the Dynatech is Aluminized steel.

I would try to find a slp dual/dual set up...... I had the magnaflow single in dual out on a stock exhaust system and it was quiet all over. Swapped in a slp LM2 dumped (BBK headers and ORY) and it was great, but the drone was too much. Found a dual/dual here in the classifieds and damn it is the best. Quiet at idle and roars at wot....

Magnaflows are good for daily street driven cars and really need long tubes to sound good. Flowmasters belong on trucks.
Borla is **** on anything.
